Painter's light

                        The shadows are long,
and the sunshine warms the soul,
                       soon the day will end.

I love the way that the late day sun casts it's glow across the valley outside our flat. Painters and photographers say that this is the best light of the day, it makes everything more beautiful.

Have a wonderful day!

Seasonal decor: Happy Fall!

While out and about in the Provence/Cote d'Azur region of France, I've been seeing these beautiful berry bushes everywhere. The berries are such a stricking shade of red that they almost seem fake. They put me in a festive fall mood even though I'm missing out on the foliage that I'm accustomed to on the east coast of the US. So I decided to bring the outdoors inside to get in the mood for fall! I added a splash of contrasting color with some yellow wildflowers.
Happy Fall!
